Art in the Park

July 7, 2010

They came with folding chairs and picnic blankets. Some even came with picnic baskets stuffed with salads and sandwiches. They brought bottles of water, munchies and bug spray. In spite of the oppressive heat and humidity they came… be entertained. And entertained they were  as the Humber River Shakespeare Company delivered a wonderful performance of  Taming of the Shrew in Dicks Dam Park tonight. They left us enriched for having been there to enjoy the show and the company of our neighbours and friends. Art and culture in our community – so worthy of our support.

Dick’s Dam is one of the best kept secrets in Bolton! It’s a perfect spot for theatre in the park and even more perfect as a place for families to picnic together. What a wonderful performance….right down to the Heron sailing across the sky during the latter part of Act 1. It’s definitely worth the effort to come out and see the Humber River Shakespeare Company.

I totally agree. I have enjoyed Shakespeare at Dick’s Dam for the last few years!

We need to support the Arts in the Town of Caledon!

We have many talented individuals in our community!
